\"_DSC4274\"<\/a>Father’s Day <\/strong><\/span>is celebrated in Canada the third Sunday of every June.\u00a0 Father\u2019s Day is a celebration honoring fathers and paying tribute to the role fatherhood and the critical influence of fathers in our society.<\/p>\n

Forget the cost of a card, or another silly tie.\u00a0 Just remember to spend precious time with your father \u2026..\u00a0 <\/span>take a walk, recollect good times, and please don\u2019t forget to tell him you love and respect him. While father\u2019s need to know they are loved, the knowledge that you respect them carries as much weight and is a powerful, affirming message on their special day.<\/p>\n

As years go by, both of you will fondly remember those exceptional times you spent together on Father\u2019s Day long after the gifts and cards are forgotten and the old ties grace the necks of teddy bears. (Oops! That\u2019s another project).<\/p>\n

Thank you to all those fathers who make such a difference in their children\u2019s lives.\u00a0 Here\u2019s to those who set the example in this changing world and are there for their children and family.<\/p>\n

This is a poem and picture of my son that we put together several years ago. It still holds a place of honour on my husband\u2019s desk.<\/p>\n

I like to wear my Daddy\u2019s shoes,<\/em><\/span>
\n there\u2019s nothing more that I enjoy<\/em><\/span>
\n I like to copy things I see him do, for I\u2019m his little boy<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

My Daddy\u2019s big and strong and cares for me<\/em><\/span>
\n and there\u2019s so much he knows.<\/em><\/span>
\n I really want to be just like him and go where daddy goes.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

I love my daddy — he\u2019s the best, he shows me what is right.<\/em><\/span>
\n He teaches me to share my toys and always be polite.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

If I had been allowed to pick, he is the one I\u2019d choose.<\/em><\/span>
\n Someday I\u2019ll grow up big and tall and fill my daddy\u2019s shoes.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
