Valentine’s Day Goody Bags 2013

IMG_0007One of my favorite annual celebrations is Valentine’s Day. I love the whole sentiment it emotes of love, caring, affection, devotion and adoration. My husband and I have been together twenty two years and not once have we failed to carve that one evening every year to make each other feel desired and loved. We also hope that we are showing our children to continue this celebration, not just with the one special someone but with those we hold nearest to our hearts … children, parents, grandchildren and good friends. My children are in grade six this year and each year I jump at the chance to put together the class goody bags … they usually contain items that are age appropriate, not always candy, but often homemade treats, sometimes a toy but always fun for the kids. This year we choose a clip-art image that was downloaded and personalized with each classmate’s name. Then we two hole punched the bag at the top, added ribbon and any embellishment we could find.
