St Patrick’s Day 2013 Pops

IMG_0015These treats are sooooo easy and quick with only two or three ingredients that you probably have in your pantry.

Ingredients:
Cake Pop plastic sticks or Lollipop sticks [4 in/10 cm]
Wilton’s White/Vanilla Candy Melts [12 oz/340 g]
Wilton’s green food coloring
Doughnut Holes

Required:
Festive Ribbon
Clear Lollipop Bags

Insert the cake pop or lollipop stick into the center of the doughnut hole, place on a cookie tray and put in the freezer for about 10-15 minutes. While the doughnut holes are in the freezer, melt the candy melts in a microwave safe bowl for one minute, stir, then microwave for another 30 seconds until melted. Depending on the intensity of the green, I usually start with 6-8 drops of green food coloring – stir until the candy melts are smooth and the coloring is evenly distributed. Remove the doughnut holes from the freezer; dip each in the melted candy, tapping the excess off. Place them, standing up on the cookie tray and then put in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes. Once the candy has hardened, place the candy coated doughnut hole in a clear cellophane lollipop bag and tie it up with a seasonal decorative piece of ribbon.
